Thus, this violence against animals cannot be played down by pointing to the consumer information pinned onto some fur clothing, claiming that the keeping and killing of the animals are in accordance with legal regulations and which are internally and regularly checked. This self-labelling only heightens the shamelessness of this branch of trade. Only those who are immunised against compassion for animals can fail to feel the desolation, the coldness and insanity of a so called fur farm.
Fewer and fewer people can close their minds to empathy and solidarity with the animals. In the new millenium the fur industry had to react against this by applying a new tactic of obscuring: Fur would no longer be recognisable as being a part of an animal.
